  • La brasserie La Cigale

    Inaugurée en 1895 face à l’opéra Graslin, la brasserie La Cigale, œuvre de l’architecte céramiste Émile Libaudière, est une effervescence d’Art nouveau, d’ornements multiples, associant peinture sur bois et peinture sur céramique dans les tons bleus.

  • Le théâtre Graslin

    Avec le cours Cambronne, promenade-jardin souvent comparé au Palais Royal de Paris, et la place Graslin, il forme un bel exemple du néoclassicisme cher à l’architecte Crucy.

  • Le Carrousel des Mondes Marins

    Véritable théâtre à 360°, il vous accueille dans une incroyable sculpture dédiée à la mer. Spectateurs d’étranges et inquiétantes créatures marines qui tournent dans une gigantesque pièce montée sur trois niveaux, vous découvrez la mer dans tous ses états, depuis les fonds marins, les abysses et jusqu’à la surface de la mer.

    Dernier château des bords de Loire avant l’océan, ce monument breton, avec ses remarquables bâtiments du XVe au XVIIIe siècle, vous entraîne dans la magie d’un véritable voyage au cœur de l’histoire.

Last but not least, Les Machines de l’Ile, an unprecedented art project.

Born from the imagination of François Delarozière and Pierre Orefice, this unique project takes you on an imaginary voyage at the crossroads of Jules Verne’s “invented worlds”, Leonardo da Vinci’s mechanical world and Nantes’ industrial legacy. It is situated on the amazing site of the former naval shipyards.

  • The «Carrousel des Mondes Marins» an incredible mechanical aquarium, which you can discover at your own pace.

Firmly worldwide recognised, Les Machines de l’Île (the Great Elephant, the Marine Worlds Carrousel – 2014 Thea Award for Unique Art Installation Worldwide) reflect Nantes’ creativity. They also show the capacity of the destination’s various players to take common action in this city where innovation and creativity rime with audacity.
